I’m Chetan S. Patil — Software Engineer at Genpact, working from Pune. Since 2013 I have worked on systems where being wrong is expensive.
I started at Plus91 Technologies in 2013, building web applications in a healthcare product company — the kind of work where a bad migration is not a bug, it is somebody’s record. Two years of that teaches you to respect data more than frameworks.
At Xento Systems I joined the reports team, and then led it: four developers and four QA engineers, and the delivery and quality standards that came with them. Five years of learning that shipping is a team sport.
Then Infogain, designing and building REST APIs in Symfony end to end; then Hexaware, splitting a year between CMS maintenance and a cryptocurrency application. Two very different stacks at once, which was rather the point.
Since December 2022 I have been at Genpact, working remotely from Pune on the System for Financial Operations Automation and the Centralised Invoicing and Payment Processing applications — end-to-end development, and the support that keeps them stable.
I write PHP by trade — Symfony, Laravel, whatever the codebase asks for — SQL Server and MySQL by necessity, and JavaScript wherever the browser has to hold its end up. I have shipped an Android app, two browser extensions, and a pile of articles mostly written to force myself to understand something properly.

Work across the whole architecture — new features, critical issue resolution, and the continuous support that keeps both applications stable and performant.
Translate business requirements into changes that hold up in production.
